Subject: Latest ADAM Fix

>Oh yeah, I mentioned my rather atypical ADAM case to the group
prior to ADAMCON 10. As you may recall my ADAM has a bit of a
different color case. On every ADAM I've seen prior to this one,
the top and bottom clamshell parts of the case are an off-white,
with a beige face. But, on my ADAM, the bottom clamshell is beige,
matching the front and expansion module door instead of the top.
I thought to myself well, maybe this was a very early model ADAM,
but it turns out that the revision motherboard in it was actually
newer than my other ADAM with the more typical style case. The
serial number from the bottom for the purposes of comparison is
Serial # A8157114 Model #2410 CPU.

Well to add confusion to what you are saying. My first ADAM was
the ADAM that was supposed to plug into a ColecoVision. But I
believe and I maybe wrong because it was many moons ago, that it
was completely SOLID beige and no white what so ever. hmm...and
the other wierd thing I remember is that it had a phone adapter
plug-ins on the side that said modem. It was the same side as
ADAMNet port sits on now except that one didn't have a ADAMNet
that I can remember. Never found out if the jacks actually
worked because I didn't have a term program nor a programmers
spec sheet on where the modem IO would be located at. I don't
think a modem was there though. I think I remember reading the
documentation saying it was a purchasable upgrade. My parents
sent it back to Coleco because it was so buggy. Oh, and the
Buck Rogers game included was a little different. I SWEAR TO
THIS! The one I originally had was a lot slower loading first
of all. But it didn't have a glitch in the parlax scrolling
scene. (you know the mountain scene) and when you were fighting
the big boss at the end you finish shooting off the turrets you
had to keep your plane centered on the hangar doors of the boss
ship while he tried to aviod you for the rest of the remaining
time. If the time ran out and you were not center on then hanger
doors you would die. Hence the tunnel scene was when you went
inside the boss ship trying to reach the warp thingy in the ship.
This I know for SURE I remember being able to do this at least
three times in a row before the game was over. But also, each
time you would pass the game it would change the colors of your
ship from white to blue and i think it did another color on the
third...hmmm don't rember. Am I crazy or does anyone else out
there rember or currently own any of this stuff too. I'm asking
cause I talked to a ADAM owner previously and he did not know
what I was talking about.

FROM - another interested ADAM owner. WELL, now that is another
puzzle......the Buck Rogers part is undoubtably true; the expansion
module 3 system possibly did not have included....or the ability due
to the colecovision circuitry....to use the super game version of
Buck Rogers, thus the slightly different game.
